Rocking Pocket Games is a brand created by Chris Egerter, owner of Egerter Software in late 2008. The goal was to create high quality games for iPhone and iPod Touch devices.

The first game produced was Blue Skies, a 360 degree helicopter shooter with accelerometer based controls. Blue Skies was one of the first arcade style games on the App Store and proved to be a success with 180,000 sales to date.

The next game, iFishing turned out to be my biggest success, with 290,000 sales generating over $500,000 in revenue. The lite version has been downloaded over 4 million times and is the most popular fishing simulation on the App Store.

The success of iFishing has lead to several spinoffs: iFishing Saltwater, iFishing Fly Fishing, iFishing HD for iPad, and iFishing World Championship featuring retina display and Game Center support for multiplayer.

Before I started RPG, I developed and licensed the Power Render 3D engine to PC game developers for over 10 years. After a year of developing 2D games for iPhone, the Power Render engine was ported to OpenGL and iPhone. This allowed me to create more interesting 3D games such as Zombies : The Last Stand, Puppet Labyinth, and Super Football Kick 3D.

Rocking Pocket Games continued to innovate, releasing the first 2 games to ever use pixel shaders on the iPhone 3GS when it was released (Blue Skies 3GS and Dark Raider S), and the first mobile games to use shadow mapping (Puppet Jump, Puppet Sprint, Puppet Labyrinth, Super Football Kick, Super Soccer Kick, and Zombies : The Last Stand).

In 2011, Rocking Pocket Games plans to release a number of 2D games, as well as continue to refine and improve the advanced 3D engine for more complex games.
